Welwyn Garden City is one of England's original garden cities, a planned town in Hertfordshire set in leafy surroundings on the A1(M) with a fast rail link into King's Cross. Its tree-lined neighbourhoods and steady commuter traffic mean a good number of cars reach the end of the road here each year. Recycle Any Car gives Welwyn Garden City drivers a simple way to scrap a vehicle for a fair, guaranteed price with free collection.
Whether it's a spare car gathering dust on a driveway in Panshanger, a non-runner near the town centre, or a write-off after a knock on the A1(M), you can get an instant online offer with no obligation. Collection anywhere in the AL postcodes is free, your collector notifies the DVLA, and you'll receive a Certificate of Destruction once the car has been recycled through a licensed ATF.
We collect across Welwyn Garden City and the surrounding area, including:
Plus nearby Hatfield and Welwyn. Postcodes: AL7 and AL8, with wider AL coverage across Hertfordshire.
As a garden city on the A1(M) with a fast rail link into London, Welwyn Garden City is popular with commuters, and many households keep more cars than they need. It's usually the older second car that ends up unused once tax, insurance and repairs stop adding up, still depreciating on the driveway.
Scrapping through an ATF resolves it in one step: over 80% of the vehicle is recycled, hazardous parts are removed safely, and a Certificate of Destruction ends your liability with the DVLA. Because paying cash for scrap is illegal in the UK, every payment is made by secure bank transfer, and free collection means no drive onto the A1(M) to a yard.
In Welwyn Garden City we buy cars and light vans in any condition - MOT failures, non-runners, insurance write-offs (Cat S / Cat N), high-mileage commuter cars and damaged vehicles. Missing keys or a logbook? Just tell us on your quote.
